Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): While taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from a contractor, Special Police Establishment (SPE) of Lokayukta, Jabalpur on Tuesday caught an in-charge executive engineer of National Health Mission (NHM) at Habibganj railway station. The search at residential premises of the accused was on, till filing this report.
The accused identified as Rishabh Jain, 58, is posted at NHM regional headquarter, Satpura Bhawan in Bhopal.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Dileep Jharbade, a complainant Chandrabhan Vishwakarma had lodged a complaint that Jain was demanding bribe against clearing the bills of a construction work done by the complainant at district hospital in Seoni.
Following the complaint, SPE sleuths laid a trap and asked the complainant to finalize the deal.
As per the deal finalised between complainant and accused, the complainant had to hand over Rs 200000 in cash and a cheque worth Rs 1 lakh.
