Bhopal: State Government to launch Anand course

BHOPAL: The Anand Department of the state government has decided to launch an ‘Anand Course’. The department is in the process of signing an MoU with Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad for the purpose. The ISB has prepared the course material and once the MoU is signed, the department will launch the course online. People will be able to register themselves for the course without paying any fees and there will be no exams. If someone wants a diploma, only then he will be required to pay fees.

The department is in communication with the school and higher education departments to persuade them to ask the students to enroll for the course. The government is mulling giving recognition to the course. Those completing the course may be associated with the department. The course, developed by Raj Raghunathan, draws contents from a variety of fields, including psychology, neuroscience and behavioral decision theory to offer a tested and practical recipe for leading a life of happiness and fulfillment.

The course will feature guest appearances by a number of well-known thought leaders, including Dan Ariely (author of ‘Predictably Irrational’), Ed Diener, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (author of ‘Flow’) and Marshall Goldsmith (author of ‘What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’).
