JABALPUR: Around two dozen employees were appointed on daily wages in confidential department of Rani Durgawati University violating all rules.
The university administration did not send any written request to the higher authorities for approval.
The employees engaged on daily wages are working for more than one year in confidential cell of the university.
An official on condition anonymity said such irregularities were being adopted by the confidential cell.
It is in news that most of the employees are relatives of the officials posted at the university.
Some objections have been raised on such appointments.
Sources also said the university administration raised objection to appointment of daily wages employees because approval was not taken from senior officials.
Examination coordinator RK Yadav said at present 10 to 12 daily wages employees were working in the examination department; and formal approval was taken for their appointments.
Yadav said the employees were appointed according to demand and when work was completed, those employees were removed.
The approval for such appointments was taken on the basis number of persons required for those posts and rules were also followed.
However, according to registrar MK Ram no file related to approval for such appointments was received by his office. He refused to say anything more on the issue.
