BHOPAL: The administration has laid primary focus on vaccinations with regard to the opening of the markets in the state capital. Traders and their shop employees have been instructed to get themselves vaccinated before they can resume normal duties. If any trader or employee is found not having taken doses of vaccine, action will be taken against him or her. Shops may even be sealed and penalty imposed. The traders and employees will have to have certificates showing that they are, indeed, vaccinated.

Camps were organised on Tuesday for vaccinations in various markets-particularly in the Old City and Bairagarh.

Thok Bazaar Vyapari Mandal Mahasangh general secretary Anupam Agrawal said that the mahasangh would organise vaccinations camps for traders, employees and even the public.

On Tuesday, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) organised camps at various places. Many traders availed of this opportunity, Agrawal added.

Raj Kumar Batra, president, Traders' Association, No. 10 Market, said he, too, would organise camps for two days at the market. All traders have been told to avail of the benefit of these camps.

The administration has ordered the opening of markets on June 10 in the state capital. Earlier, only grocery and hardware shops were opened from June 1 under the graded unlock. It had drawn sharp protests from traders who lodged a protest with DME minister Vishwas Sarang who is looking after Covid affairs in Bhopal district.
