CRPF rescues civilians from a 70 feet gorge

On June 15, at Ladwal village Batote District Ramban, J&K a civil car fell down a 70 feet deep gorge. HC/ GD Sanjeev Saxena of D Company of 84 Battalion CRPF who was deployed nearby, immediately informed Pooja Malik, Assistant Commandant, OC D/84 who immediately rushed to the incident site and started a rescue operation without delay.

Navigating the extremely difficult terrain, the CRPF team reached the car which was badly damaged and found that passengers were fear stricken and screaming for help. Pooja Malik, AC along with Hc/GD Sanjeev Saxena and CT/ GD Dhananjay Rai tried to pull them out from the car but were unable to move them out. Then the CRPF team broke open the side window of the car after which all 3 persons were rescued. Of the three rescued persons, 2 were badly injured and were immediately sent to CHC Batote for further treatment.
