A year back, in December 2012, an introductory correspondence was sent to HVB Academy, a fellow member of Global Gateway, British Council Schools, by a Danish High-School with 900 students.
VIBORG Gymnasium og HF, a highly academic Danish school with students from 16-19 years of age, recently visited India on a quest to fortify a collaborative tie-up with an enterprising school in Mumbai. Therein was sought a fruitful academic cooperation with HVB Global Academy, IBDP. The collaborative project promoting International
Mindedness was titled, ‘Globalisation: Indo-Denmark Collaboration’, and promised to offer a platform where the students could meet and interact in cohesive groups, solve academic tasks together, make interviews with each other and discuss diverse issues while engaging in social activities together. HVB GLOBAL ACADEMY, IBDP exuberantly welcomed the group of 30 Danish student-friends and two Danish. Peter MollerWestergaard, one of the Danish teachers accompanying the students expressed how safe and welcome he felt in India. Indian Culture was introduced through rituals, hands-on activities and Shloka-chanting by HVB’s Pre-Primary tots. There were several other activities like Warli Art Workshop, and other fun things that showed the cultural side of India to the Danish guests.
