It’s usually the other way around, but thank god it is happening. After Jackky Bhagnani got PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ for his film, we have an international DJ remixing one of our songs.

DJ Avicii, currently ranked No. 3 in the top DJ’s list, is remixing ‘Slowly Slowly’ from ‘Go Goa

Gone’. The track was released a couple of days ago and has already gone viral. With catchy lyrics and an upbeat music, ‘Slowly Slowly’ has already become a chart-buster. Sources say, “DJ Avicii in Mumbai recently. He has decided to play ‘Slowly Slowly’ in his concert. He is quite excited to remix this track and make it an international chartbuster.”

Sources close to DJ Avicii confirm that he will be playing the number at Chile’s Lollapalooza Music Festival this weekend.

Music directors Sachin and Jigar say, “It’s just amazing to learn that an artist of his stature and rank has picked up our tune. I think DJs around the world are instrumental in popularizing these tunes that we composers create sitting in one corner of our studios. ‘Slowly Slowly’ was made with intent to be played out loud at a party. And what better news than this to learn that it has indeed made it right there! Also what makes us proud is that with these international crossovers, our music can find more ears spanning across the geography.”

“This is very cool. ‘Slowly Slowly’ is not exactly slow in catching on. Am pleasantly surprised by this. This goes to show that music has no linguistic or cultural boundaries and can go global. Sachin-Jigar have done a fantastic job on this and all other songs in the film,” say directors Raj and DK.

Saif and Dinesh Vijan are producing this film under their banner Illuminati Films along with Sunil Lulla of Eros International. Touted to be India’s first zombie comedy film, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, ‘Go Goa Gone’ features Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu and Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta in key roles and will release on May 10, 2013.
