'It never gets easier': Priyanka Chopra shares emotional note on father Ashok Chopra's death anniversary

Actress Priyanka Chopra on Thursday shared an emotional note remembering her late father Ashok Chopra on his death anniversary. The 'White Tiger' actress lost her father in 2013 to cancer.

Priyanka shared a photo from her memoir 'Unfinished' on Instagram and wrote: "It never gets easier… love you dad"

"From my earliest years, my dad and I had an understanding: Whenever he was performing at the army club he would look me in the eye duriing the first song. The New Year, Eve I was five he forgot, so I started to leave in a huff. Dad jumped off the stage and pulled me up onto it with hint, coaxing me into a duet—a nursery rhyme—and winning my forgiveness," reads the excerpt below the throwback picture.

PeeCee has been very expressive and vocal about missing her father, and how his death has been a blow for her.

In February, he 'Bajirao Mastani' actress dedicated her memoir 'Unfinished' to her late father Ashok Chopra.

"Dear Papa, much like the title of this book, your story was unfinished. With that in mind, I dedicate the rest of mine to you. I miss you, dad," the actress said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka is currently working on the spy series 'Citadel'. It also stars Richard Madden. The project is backed by Amazon and helmed by the Russo Brothers of 'Avengers' fame.

The actress has finished shooting 'Text for You' with Sam Heughan, Celine Dion, Russell Tovey, and Omid Djalili. Priyanka will also be seen in an Indian wedding comedy with Mindy Kaling, which she will co-produce and feature in. She also has 'Matrix 4' and a film based on the life of Maa Anand Sheela in the pipeline.
