National film award winner and Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay passed away on Monday away after a tragic accident. He was 38.
Actor Kichcha Sudeepa took to Twitter to share the unfortunate news with his followers.
He said that he met Sanchari Vijay a couple of time before the COVID-19-induced lockdown. Kichcha Sudeepa also revealed that the actor was quite excited about the release of his upcoming film.
"Very very disheartening to accept that Sanchari Vijay breathed his last. Met him couple of times just bfr this lockdown,,,, all excited about his nxt film,, tats due for release. Very sad. Deepest Condolences to his family and friends. RIP (sic)," he tweeted.
Actor and singer Puneeth Rajkumar tweeted, "Gone too soon Sanchari Vijay, RIP."
Sanchari Vijay was in a critical condition after he met with an accident, his brother Siddhesh Kumar had informed.
The actor's motorcycle skidded on Saturday, 100 meters away from Vijay's apartment. He had sustained serious head injuries leading to internal bleeding.
Vijay has earned accolades for his award-winning movie 'Naanu Avanalla Avalu.' He had played the role of a transgender in the film.
He debuted in 2011 with the film Rangappa Hogbitna and bagged projects like 'Harivu' and 'Oggarane'. The actor was last seen on screen in the movie 'ACT 1978' which was released last year.
