Kolkata: At a time when the ruling Trinamool Congress is claiming that there is no post-poll violence in West Bengal, Calcutta High Court on Friday has instructed the National Human Rights Commission to form a committee and with the help of West Bengal Human Rights Commission court has asked to submit a report before it by June 30.

Talking to Free Press Journal, BJP advocate Priyanka Tibrewal stated that though the court has asked the police to help the displaced BJP cadres but the police on the contrary are harassing the BJP workers.

“For last 10 days I have been visiting places and have collected several affidavits of such displaced workers. I had also learnt that the police after getting to know the displaced workers are forcing them to write on a blank sheet that they are not being heckled by anyone,” stated the advocate.

Notably, last month the Calcutta High Court had asked the displaced BJP workers to email their grievances and through the Legal Service Authority had asked the police to get back the BJP workers by June 4.

Priyanka Tibrewal who was also the BJP's candidate from Entally seat in Assembly polls alleged that a total 3000 affidavits were given to police by the Legal Service Authority but the police didn’t take any action.

“Now the court has asked the NHRC to submit the report to court after visiting places as I have said that if it is presented before the state then the BJP workers will be more harassed,” mentioned Priyanka.

It can be recalled that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said that there is no post-poll violence in West Bengal and also alleged that the BJP’s claim of violence is their ‘gimmick’.
