India reported 17 more cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Sunday – nine persons in Rajasthan capital Jaipur, seven in Maharashtra’s Pune district and a 37-year-old fully vaccinated man who arrived in Delhi from Tanzania – taking the tally to 21 in the country.

The Covid-19 working group of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) is likely to meet tomorrow to discuss additional dose of Covid-19 and pediatric vaccination, sources said.

“Two doses of Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory to avail entry into malls, shopping complexes, theatres and cinema halls in Bengaluru. BBMP officials will conduct regular checks without any prior information. Strict action will be taken under Disaster Management Act 2005 if violated,” CHO of BBMP said.
