NEW DELHI: The Kisan Ekta Morcha, spearheading the farmers' stir on Delhi borders for over six months, on Thursday slammed Hindi TV channel Aaj Tak for "misreporting about the farmers' protest.
It tweeted, "In one way or other, farmers' voices are being suppressed due to fake information released by such channels and when confronted, they harass with defamation suit of Rs 2 crore."
"Out of desperation, @aajtak has filed defamation case against @Tractor2twitr, one of the biggest voices of farmers," the Morcha said. In another tweet, it said, "This is clear indication of suppression of freedom of speech. We have history of rising from ashes, will continue to do so. Fighting till we WIN."
