This is the first time MK Stalin has met PM Modi after the former assumed the chief minister's office in Tamil Nadu.

On the conduct of NEET, CM Stalin had announced a committee led by retired judge of the Madras High Court, A K Rajan to study the impact of the NEET on aspirants from the socially disadvantaged sections in medical admissions.

Besides, the CM had also written to PM Mod urging him to intervene and instruct the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to cancel the bid process for hydrocarbon and natural gas extraction from the basin. He reasoned that the Cauvery basin is the bedrock of Tamil Nadu’s food security and agro-based economy and the ecologically fragile zone supports the livelihood of millions of farmers in the state.

Health Minister Ma Subramanian on June 13 had said, "When Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin meets PM Modi in Delhi next week he will request to bovide more vaccine doses to Tamil Nadu." "Death numbers are expected to decrease in coming days. Vaccination is the only solution to get rid of corona infection so people should come forward to get Vaccination," he added.

During the two-day visit, CM Stalin may also meet interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on Friday.
