NMMC is taking various measures to expedite COVID vaccination and operating 34 vaccination centers. It has planned to start another 50 vaccination centers as per the availability of vaccines.

As per the state government guidelines based on the NHFS report, around 30 percent of the total population has citizens over 45 years of age. According to this, considering the existing population of 15 lakhs of the NMMC area, the number of citizens above 45 years of age will be 4.5 lakhs. Recognizing the importance of vaccinating all these beneficiaries as soon as possible, ASHA workers will now encourage and motivate citizens above 45 years of age to be vaccinated.
