In Photos: Stunning images of 'ring of fire' annular solar eclipse from across the globe

Skywatchers across the globe on Thursday enjoyed watching a spectacular "ring of fire" annular solar eclipse. All around the world, astrophotographers captured stunning images of the celestial phenomenon.

In India, the annular solar eclipse took place at 01:42 PM and will last until 6.41 pm in most of the areas. The duration of this solar eclipse at Greatest Eclipse is said to be around 3 minute and 51 seconds.

During an annular solar eclipse, the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, but it does not completely cover the sun as it passes, leaving some sunlight visible.
