Mumbai: Parag Khanapurkar, having earned a name for himself in the Mumbai Ranji’s one-dayers, showed his class as he Police Gymkhana ground on fire with a blistering 172 which included 14 sixes and 13 fours, to bring some joy to Shivaji Park Warriors to record their first win in the 5-team Mitsui Shoji T-20 League at Police Gymkhana ground at Marine Lines on Wednesday.
With opener Parag going hammer and tong right from the word go, the bottom- placed Shivaji Park Warriors hit up 243 for 4. With such a huge total to chase, the Bandra Heroes tried their best with their skipper Harshad Koli who has been consistently scoring in the league, scoring an unbeaten 45 as they ended with 134 for 4.
In the other match, league topper debutants Mumbai Police City Riders continued their march towards winning the league title, as they outplayed Ghatkopar Jets by eight wickets. After dismissing Ghatkopar Jets for 125 for nine, the debutants, thanks to their man-of-the-match skipper Rohan Bagade’s quick-fire unbeaten 43 off 24 balls with 7 fours and a six, they were home with fours overs to spare.

Ghatkopar Jets 125 for 9 (Amir Shaikh 30; Mayur Sanap 2 for 26, Yash Chavan 2 for 26) lost to Mumbai Police City Riders 127 for 2 (Prashant Bele 32, Kushal Davane 42; Rohan Bagade n.o 43).
