ade ( ustra) attacked a Class VIII student of Queens Mary School, Bhayandar ( East) in the school premises, severely injuring him.

During the attack, some colleagues who tried to save the student were also injured too. According to the police, the incident happened just after school hours at around 12: 30 pm on Tuesday. The victim identified as Ashraf Siraj Khan ( 13) was viciously stabbed in the stomach by the prime accused who has been identified as Sonu Ahmed Ali ( 25) and his accomplices, police said.

A resident of Sanghvi Complex in Nayan Nagar, Ashraf was rushed to ACare Hospital in Mira Road where he underwent an emergency surgery and had 26 stitches on his punctured bowel.

Investigations revealed that fed up with the alleged advances of Ashraf, a 15- year- old girl student reportedly conspired with her boy friend, Sonu ( an auto mechanic) to teach him a lesson. The accused identified as Sonu, Atik, Asif, Faizan, Haider and Vakkar Syed mounted an assault on Ashraf on Tuesday afternoon. While Syed has been arrested, all the other accused are still absconding, said investigating officer, API Shivalkar of the Navghar police station.
