Ujjain: A rousing welcome was accorded to the Lokmanya Tilak Sanskratik Nyas malkhamb team on their return from Mauritius on Thursday after an impressive performance.
According to Ashok Kadel, Nyas members and students welcomed the team at the railway station with crackers, drumbeats and trumpet sound. The team comprised of Abhishek Malviya, Shivansh Kaushal, Chandrashekhar Chauhan, Kushal Jain, Kushal Kandare, Pooja Malviya, Garima Prajapati, Oshin Chaubey and Taruna Chavre. The team performed excellently on the international stage in Mauritius under the guidance of trainer ogesh Malviya. MP Janabhiyan Parishad vice- chairman Pradeep Pandey and Deepak Shahpurkar were team managers.
According to chief executive officer Ashok Sohoney, the 12- member team performed spectacular malkhamb exercises during Shivratri festival and earned accolades from Indians residing in Mauritius.
On the occasion, Nyas secretary Shreepad Joshi, treasurer Padmakar Kalkar, vice- chairmen Avdhut Kale, Shashikant Kothari, Mulayam Singh Thakur, Ujjain Municipal Corporation speaker Sonu Gehlot, Prakash Chittora, Vijay Kevaliya, Govind Sharma, Ashok Kadel, Satish Sharma, Sanjivani Sapre, Shubha Marathe, Sheila Bhavsar, Vasudha Keskar and Govind Gandhe were also present.
