Ujjain : Panic was created near the Hanuman Prasad Petrol Pump when two miscreants threw chili powder into the eyes of a girl and disappeared from the scene, here on Saturday.
This incident occurred at about 2.30 pm when a 21-year-old girl, a resident of Nanakheda area, was coming down from the Freeganj Railway Over-bridge on foot and going towards the Agar Road located headquarters of Ujjain Municipal Corporation. When she reached near the Hanuman Prasad Petrol Pump, two motorbike borne youths came from behind and threw chili powder into her eyes and disappeared.
Panic was created in the area for some time and soon the girl was taken to the civil hospital. Her parents also reached there immediately. According to Madhav Nagar police head constable Chhater Singh Rawat, they had received an intimation from the Civil Hospital that a girl was admitted in the woman ward, but when they reached there to record her statement, it was informed that she vacated the ward at 3.55 pm.
