Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases among different Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, the ongoing edition of Vivo IPL has been suspended for now, BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla confirmed.

An official announcement on IPL's Twitter handle read, "The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season with immediate effect."

Now that it has been cancelled, some are applauding the decision. However, for IPL lovers, this news has brought a wave of sadness. And what do we do cope with sadness? We make memes.
