When Pavithra Lakshmi fan page said 'Take me up', Twitterati took it literally; here's what happened

From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Gujarat to Assam, people in every corner of India are cinemaholics. Indians are crazy cinema fans and with this obsession come our love for the actors who are the face of cinema.

Indian actors enjoy huge stardom. In fact, some people have gone to the length of making temples of their favourite stars. If we can go to such heights to express love for our favourite actors, we can definitely fulfill their other wishes, right?


However, this time, on Twitter, a wish went hilariously wrong when it was taken literally.


A fan page of Indian actress Pavithra Lakshmi, of 'Cook with Comali' fame, recently posted a picture of the actress on Twitter with the caption "Take me up".

Now followers took the caption too seriously and what followed was a meme storm. Many literally placed the actress "up" in many pictures.

Soon, the image went viral on Twitter bringing out the creativity of Twitterati.
